    What You Will Do

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ability to understand and monitor UPS, Batteries and Electrical functionalities and able to remediate in case of breakdown.
    • Ability to handle Physical Access Control Systems and related appliances and software.
    • Ability to handle the CCTV based surveillance system.
    • Able to perform maintenance of AC Systems, UPS, Batteries etc.
    • Knowledge on cooling systems and temperatures threshold configurations.
    • Ability to proactively monitor systems for any abnormal behavior and reporting.
    • Sound knowledge on electrical systems/appliances, cabling and repairing.
    • Physical work requirements of position will include: regular walks through Data Centre during the day, lifting servers and other equipment working from ladders, running cables, working with hand tools and test equipment, etc.
    • Respond to scheduled and emergency dispatches to Data Centre for after-hours service calls and security escorts
    • Communicate regularly with core infrastructure teams to manage capacity and availability of electrical and mechanical resources supporting critical systems.
    • Communicate regularly with core infrastructure teams to co-ordinate infrastructure maintenance schedules so that critical customer systems are suitably protected during maintenance events.
    • Communicate regularly with base building operations to manage building resources and facilities related to customer activities.
    • Communicate regularly with building security services to manage access and surveillance activities related to protection of customer systems and information.
    • Receive, record, and store shipments of equipment and materials for customers and Data Centre use.
    • Complete physical installation and power-up (Rack & Stack) of servers, peripherals, and network equipment.
    • Complete physical installation, dressing, and connection of fiber and copper communications cables.
    • Provide visual inspection, status reporting, and power-cycling services in response to customer requests.
    • Provide selected software support services such as controlled system reboots, process/service re-initialization, and device configuration under direction of customer specialists or other senior staff.
    • Provide security escort services for carriers, service providers, and maintenance technicians.
    • Document work in designated ticketing systems, asset management systems, and other record keeping systems as required for reference and audit purposes.
    • Complete assigned and scheduled tasks in a timely manner in accordance with customer deadlines.
    • Demonstrate full understanding of Data Centre architectures, systems, and operations for: equipment cabinets, containment solutions, final power distribution, computer systems, network systems, cabling systems, communications circuits.
    • Demonstrate full understanding of Data Centre core infrastructure architectures, systems, and operations (power, cooling, security, fire protection, controls).
    • Demonstrate good understanding of Data Centre design drawings including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical etc.
    • Work independently and with limited supervision to complete assigned tasks.
    • Demonstrate high standards for workmanship, organization, and cleanliness with tasks, equipment, and workspaces.
    • Demonstrate well-developed troubleshooting skills to investigate and resolve systems and infrastructure problems.
    • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain good relations with customers, vendors and colleagues.
    • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    • Flexible to travel when required to other location and also provide remote monitoring of other facilities.

    Skills and Experience You Will Need


    • Any Diploma/Graduate
    • 2-5 years of experience in Datacentre management
    • 2-5 years of experience in Electrical, Air Conditioning, CCTV, Access Control appliances and maintenance.
    • Excellent problem analyzing and troubleshooting skills.
    • Knowledge of Visio or Corel Draw or any design tool.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of Schneider, APC based appliance is must.
