What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership to staff in the support of the corporate vision, department objectives and individual goals
  • Analyze company’s business processes, applications, architecture and infrastructure to identify pain points and make recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate applications/architecture/processes/infrastructure rationalization efforts and identify associated costs.
  • Lead in-depth technical discussions with client stakeholders and analyze architecture diagrams, documentation, code, and data.
  • Build and mentor development teams, as necessary.
  • Provide technical and architecture oversight
  • Understand the business needs of the customer and provide quality customer support by using appropriate communication, anticipating customer needs and/or issues, and understanding the broad impact of change on all customer processes.
  • Provide appropriate solutions and pro-actively suggest process improvements.
  • Establish, refine and manage internal processes and metrics to support project completion including successful software development, model development and technically related business projects.

Skills and Experience You Will Need

Required:

  • 10+ years working as a hands-on technical lead, architect, manager, and/or director
  • Expert in Enterprise Architecture (UI, Middle Tier, SOA, Database)
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE and at least one other modern programming language
  • Experience working in Mainframe or Client Server legacy environments
  • Experience working with cutting edge technologies (Mobile, Cloud, CICD, etc.)
  • Ability to reverse engineer legacy applications and enterprise systems
  • Must be able to identify application hot spots and performance issues
  • Ability to perform and provide effort estimations
  • Experience in designing new applications, coupled with superior problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ambition, and willing to learn new ideas and embark on new engagements

 Desired:

  • Healthcare or Financial Services industry experience strongly desired
