What You Will Do

  • Carry out assignments, alone or as part of a team, applying knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the issues of interest to the client organization and propose viable solutions within the scope of your own expertise, considering the needs of those affected.
  • Recognize needs outside own area of knowledge, and how these areas relate.
  • Produce high quality deliverables in terms of both content and presentation. Examples are reports, research, presentations, and options, with reasoned arguments.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of current practice within own area of expertise, including awareness of current developments. Develop awareness, and in some cases, detailed knowledge, of areas outside your own area of expertise as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with, and facilitate stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements. Facilitates groups to optimize time, effort and success for fact finding and agreement of a solution.
  • Take responsibility for the definition, documentation, and safe execution of small to medium-scale projects, engaging with stakeholders and actively participating in all phases of the project.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues which could affect the success of the project.
  • Effectively estimates costs, timescales, and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agreed terms of reference.
  • Ensure that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and tracks all activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Monitor costs, timescales and resources used and acts where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.
  • Manage the change control procedure and ensure that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale, and resource budgets, and are signed off. Gain agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors.
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience. Take appropriate actions where performance deviates from agreed tolerances. Actively represents the project team, ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained with the business.
  • Ensure that your own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured and actioned. Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes.

Skills and Experience You Will Need

Required:

  • 4+ years of previous experience in Project Management and familiar with automated project management tools, e.g. MS Project.
  • Experience with fixed price models
  • Proficient in Project Planning and Control Techniques and Risk Management
  • Familiar with Contract Management and Negotiation
  • Knowledge of systems development life cycle
  • Analytical thinking skills, decision making, and attention to detail
  • Solid client facing, interpersonal, and communication skills

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

** Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on actual job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
  • Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
  • Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. 
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, the ability to tolerate fluorescent lighting, and the ability to adjust focus.
