What You Will Do

  • Provide advanced professional input to complex Q&A assignments/projects.
  • Assist in the preparation and conduct of Quality Assurance (QA) testing of new or modified applications/systems across multiple computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server).
  • Participate in the analysis and development of new or revised QA procedures and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and conduct of QA reviews and the development of test plans and test scripts. 
  • Provide help desk support to client and IT technical staff in resolving QA process or procedure questions and required documentation.
  • Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes and the development of QA metrics for assessing the quality delivered application software or systems. 
  • Assist in design and implementation of QA software and systems and the development of effective testing plans through consultation with clients and IT technical staff.
  • Support and provide direction to more junior professionals.
  • Work autonomously, only requiring “expert” level technical support from others.
  • Exercise judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures.
  • Utilize in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends, within Quality Assurance & Testing.

Skills and Experience You Will Need

Required:

  • Experience in testing both mainframe batch and online
  • Expertise in applying agile methodologies and principles to software testing, ensuring efficient and effective testing practices throughout the development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing test management tools such as Jira and HP ALM to effectively plan, track, and manage testing activities, ensuring seamless collaboration, and streamlined workflows
  • Strong experience in System Integration and end to end testing
  • Experience and continuous testing mindset in CI/CD environment
  • Solid analytical skills, highly organized, self-motivated and a quick learner
  • Flexible and willing to accept change in priorities as necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

** Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on actual job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
  • Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
  • Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. 
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, the ability to tolerate fluorescent lighting, and the ability to adjust focus.
