Control M Consultant

• Perform job setup, scheduling, troubleshooting, and automation/API usage.
• Migrate legacy schedulers (e.g., UC4, Cron) with accurate job mapping and risk-managed approaches.
• Use Linux/Unix, Windows Server, distributed environments, SSH, SFTP, and remote job execution.
• Create Bash and PowerShell scripting for job automation, environment validation, and system integration.
• Support batch jobs on SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL and database job scheduling.
• Integrate with Splunk, ServiceNow/JIRA, SNMP/email alerts
• Enforce enterprise standards and change/incident management processes.

Required:

• 15+ years of overall IT experience
• 5+ years of experience with Control M end-to-end architecture, custom Integrations, API automation, and complex troubleshooting.
• Expertise with Job Scheduling with Control-M
  • Setup, Admin & Upgrade
  • Job Migration
  • Automation API/CLI
• Knowledge of both Linux/Unix (Commands & Troubleshooting) and Windows Server (Basic Ops, Job Handling)
• Excellent Scripting Skills – Bash Shell Scripting and PowerShell Scripting
• Experience with Database systems - SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL (Job scheduling context)
• Understanding of Log Monitoring, Job Alerts, Retry Mechanisms, etc.
• Excellent Documentation and Standardization skills
• Experience with Migration Planning (Big Bang/Phased)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
• Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
• Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
• Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
